HCIIG is proud to announce its inaugural student-run ESG investment fund – the first and only of its kind at Harvard. This initiative affords HCIIG members and the greater undergraduate community a rare opportunity to engage in current sustainable investing research through direct exposure to ESG-guided investing. Our project is currently managed by seven undergraduates, and we hope to grow the group in the coming semesters to a sitting size of about 30 undergraduate investment analysts and equity researchers, an experienced board of directors, and potential partnership arm with HBS.

The mission of the group’s inaugural fund is threefold: (1) educate students on ESG and impact investment principles (2) offer hands-on investing and portfolio management experience and (3) connect talented Harvard students with engaged industry sponsors and mentors. We hope to use the fund as a vehicle to cultivate campus discussion around sustainability, ESG, impact investing and related careers. Through our impact investing lens, we endeavor to bridge the traditional scope of finance towards incorporating more diverse interests and backgrounds within the socially responsible investing landscape.

We are looking to onboard prominent businesses with defined interests in the impact investing space as partners.  In addition to a small financial contribution, we hope that our partners serve as mentors for the group’s initiatives. Through collaborative efforts, our partners receive exclusive recruitment opportunities with each semester’s new wave of talented Harvard undergraduates.
